Two posts in one day? What?

YES! Two posts all in one day because I took meghann's advice in using Windows Live Writer for blog posts! It’s pretty easy so far! Then again, I am only two sentences and one hyperlink in! For the short time that I’ve had the blog, I thought to myself well…how do I insert links and pictures, etc, etc?? AND GET THIS, I didn’t even have to download it! I already had it on my computer from msn messenger. Exciting :)

I’m clearly easily amused and excited but having this makes it a hundred times better! Now I’m going to go look at what photos I can put on here!

image get it here...

the when doves fly dress from mod cloth is SUPER cute. but I’m not sure it’s worth the full 64.99. I wish I could try it on though. The pattern is super cute and I think it would look great with a brown belt.

imageterraced crown dress

This dress would definitely not look good on me but I am a sucker for anything strapless (why, I have no idea) and the unique “terraced crown” pattern is really cute. And for under 50? I’d do it (if i were you) haha.

I’m really never one to buy things online without trying it on first. With forever21 and urban outfitters’ un-uniform sizing, you really have no idea what you’re getting in the mail!

Anyway, yay for consistent posting and hyperlinks and pictures and me seeming like I’m actually techno savvy.

Time for some gossip girl! I LOVE DOROTA!

Professionalism

So it's been over a week since my first post. Typical. I have always been one of those people who gets extremely excited over new things, and have lofty expectations and ambitions. Two days later, my obsession subsides and I'm onto the "next new thing". But I will try my best to not do that to this blog! Over the past few months, starting a blog of my own has been in the back of my mind so I know that it's not just "the obsession of the day".

Moving on though, I can't believe its 1pm already! Mondays after holidays (or pseudo-bank holidays) are always so difficult to get through but today it's not too bad! This weekend I found out my younger brother just got his SAT scores back. (!!!) He's a junior in high school right now so the next few months will be a pivotal point in his life. He'll have to decide where to apply, what to study, take a billion tests and exams that will pave the path for his future. I'm so glad I am done with that..(although part of me wishes I applied/went to Duke for undergrad. I don't know why but I've always loved that school).

Speaking of school, I've decided to formally withdraw from my graduate school program. Up until now, I was "taking a leave of absence". That's what it is called on paper anyway. I left school for a job offer and I just feel that merely working a year and a half is not enough time. I can always re-apply! My logic for this is that, if they accepted me when I didn't have any job experience, why not accept me with some job experience! That brings me to the title of this post. There were two "advisors" for my program and both were helping me out with this transition, but one who also has the title of Assistant Dean lacks even an ounce of professionalism. I only dealt with her for a month or so, but wow who does she think she is that she needs to have her nose up in the air like that? As snotty as it sounds, without us students she would not have a job and these students are absolutely going to go further in life than her. Ridiculous. She is rude and arrogant and unhelpful, etc, etc, etc. At first, I thought maybe she just acted that way towards me because I was leaving the program and being a burden with more paperwork without continuing as a student. However, a couple weekends ago, I went to visit DC and met up with a few girls from my program. In their other encounters with her, they have experienced the same attitude problem and lack of professionalism. This is the NUMBER ONE school in the country for my master's program and a top 20 school in most other programs as well. But due to her lack of professionalism, this program has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Her actions also highlighted the administrative flaws at this university.

That was my rant, I promise not to be so negative on this blog in the future! It just appalls me how rude certain people can be. I guess I will think twice before applying to the same program again because that will be two years of having to deal with her.

Til next time!

First Post Ever!

Hello everyone! (Or no one...)

Welcome to Panda with a Key!
There's no structured concept for the blog quite yet, but I was inspired by all the amazing healthy eating blogs out there as well as the awesome personal style/fashion blogs! I guess after months of reading LOTS of blogs, I wanted to join in on the fun!

I feel kind of like Julie in the movie Julie&Julia right now. I don't know how long it takes to build up a reader base, but it's kind of nice just getting your thoughts out there --stupid, random, not insightful things that hopefully others can relate to! So I guess this blog will be a mishmash of stuff.

I can't wait! :)
